It would install the Office 20 product keys on the host but the vmw.exe application would crash upon an attempt at online activation.
The usual 2 steps worked fine for the Windows 2016 Host side of things.Ĭscript slmgr.vbs -ipk “windows2016 kms host key”īut for Office 2013 and Office 2016 KMS host license pack it would open up the Volume Activation Tools. You may still have machines not running Office 365 Business or ProPlus but Office 2016 from the volume license media.
KMS OFFICE 2016 UPGRADE
Once the volume license version of latest version of server is available, I normally upgrade the internal KMS server first so when I start upgrading my Hyper-V Hosts and deploying new VMs they would be activated, the latter possibly now using Automatic Virtual Machine Activation.
